Four years after designing this extensive
garden, the clients asked Scott to design a swimming pool. The
challenge was to design and position the pool, and incorporate it in
the existing garden (and modify the garden as required) such that the
finished product appeared as if both the swimming pool and garden were
originally planned and built as one ………
MISSION ACCOMPLISHED !
This
pool and Alfresco Kitchen is part of a relaxed, casual garden and
entertainment Oasis set within the sand dunes and coastal scrub
of the Mornington Peninsula. A stunning but relaxed atmosphere
can be enjoyed both day and night.
The pool, spa and garden design had to be
completed prior to house construction being finished, due to access
being impossible later. The pool and spa room are both an extension of
the house, and are enjoyed even when not in use ,as the vista from the
main rooms of the home at night and during the day. They also form a
wonderful back drop for both outdoor and indoor entertaining.
The superbly appointed outdoor
kitchen and dining room 'floats' above the majestic swimming pool. The
room overlooks the pool and surrounding gardens, and captures the
expansive views of Port Philip Bay
