“The Great Escape”
Pg 101-103

This challenging garden, with indigenous windswept planting and relaxed outdoor living, has sparked the curiosity of many. In this feature article, Scott explains the design thinking implemented in order to arrive at a finished environment that’s cohesive and has a great ‘sense of place’.

“I wanted the end result to look as if it ‘belonged’ in its natural, coastal setting. I also wanted its intended use to be compatible with the existing climate and location.  The relaxed, easy going feel of the finished space belies the significant challenges we had to overcome in order for it to look ‘simple’” Scott Brown
